Living Instruments and Dream Step Engineering introduce Liner Notes at AccompanyMe Records—a free, dream pop–first, always-on listening experience where anyone can invite someone to co-write a song.

A new record label and a working example of an independent music experience built around its own identity, community, and sound.

SAN DIEGO — October 25, 2026 — Living Instruments and Dream Step Engineering introduce Liner Notes at AccompanyMe Records, bringing personal accounts of shared work and everyday connection into a music experience built around a simple invitation: ask someone to write a song together.

Available at accompanyme.app, AccompanyMe brings dream pop listening, personal invitations, and Liner Notes into one place. People can send a written invitation, record a personal video, or use both to invite a friend or a new collaborator to begin a song together. The invitation opens a conversation; it does not require a finished song or an established musical partnership.

Liner Notes begins with the people and relationships behind founder Michael Darius’s work. Its first collection brings together accounts from collaborators, colleagues, mentors, friends, and Airbnb hosts. Short descriptions beneath contributors’ names explain their connection to Michael and, where applicable, the work they shared. Airbnb reviews are attributed simply to “Airbnb host,” with their original dates.

These notes give the work a human context: the teams that formed, the projects people built together, the guidance they offered, and the consideration remembered outside the workplace. Alongside them, the invitation service offers a way to begin another connection through music.

AccompanyMe Records also introduces a new record label and demonstrates the kind of independent application Living Instruments and Dream Step Engineering can design for other labels. A label’s own brand, music, and character can shape the experience—from its visual identity and listening environment to the ways people meet, participate, and return.

For AccompanyMe, that identity is dream pop first: a place to stay a while, find some company, and invite someone to make something together. The application is a working example of that approach, while also serving people who want to use its invitations today.

LOX Music is the production and development environment where Living Instruments develops its audio standards and engineering definitions. SongSketch provides an environment for people to use those capabilities in making music. AccompanyMe draws on that foundation as an example of how a unique label experience can receive support through the PosterityOS ecosystem.

AccompanyMe is free to use, including its invitations. Playback through connected music providers remains subject to their availability and terms; full Apple Music playback may require an Apple Music subscription.
